Small Renovations & Projects

At Gensler, NY, I was the project architect for small renovations for four projects, Ares Capital Management, Capital One (two projects) and Deloitte Harborside, New Jersey. The clients wanted to upgrade their spaces with existing millwork and furniture - rooms and walls needed to be built, demolished and/or upgraded on a slim budget. I produced the tender documents using Revit on my own with oversight from a senior project architect. I coordinated deliverables with clients, engineers, lighting designers, expeditors and contractors. The spaces needed to be renovated, coordinated and matched with the existing spaces and design specifications.

Although these renovations were all really small and all put on hold due to Covid-19 related project impacts, I grew a lot as a professional. I improved my drawing quality and skill significantly compared to when I first started producing tender drawing for the Xandr HQ and Confidential Financial Services Firm HQ projects. I started learning how to produce technical drawings, coordinate drawings with engineers, lead meetings, review submittals and perform site visits independently.
